The Daily Grinds Barista will carry out espresso- and coffee-based recipes. The ideal barista is passionate about coffee, food and creating incredible guest experiences. Along with learning the station, you will also be accountable for cleanliness and, food and equipment safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to ‘dial in’ and serve a selection of coffees in various brewing methods including but not limited to espresso, pour over, and cold brew
• At times throughout shift, take customer orders using cash register/point-of-sale system
• Expedite and serve food which can include assembly, delivery and clearing/bussing tables
• Stay knowledgeable about Daily Grind’s current coffee and food menu through tastings, cuppings and information provided to you by your Lead Barista or manager
• Drink your and others’ coffee and espresso drinks regularly at Daily Grinds to ensure quality and uphold company standards
• Support your team in maintaining standards and efficiency, which may include washing dishes, clearing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing stations, and taking out trash

Skills & Requirements

• Preferably 1 year of related experience
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment
• A passion for coffee, food, exceptional work ethic and dedication
• Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve

Physical Demands

• Use of hands to reach, grip, turn and perform precision work
• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 5 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations
