Daily Grinds is a Frisco-based café established in the fall of 2019 and founded by Chef John Tran. When Chef Tran set out to serve the local community, what he had in mind was to fuel Hall Park with quality food and drinks. The DG motto, “keep grinding!” embodies the persevering spirit of our friends in the Hall Park community where we are located and the surrounding neighborhoods. We are known for our signature house-made croissant, locally sourced artisanal coffee, and everything in between. As we like to say, we’re more than a coffee shop! Come check us out!
Our Story
Chef John Tran stepped away from the corporate world to pursue his passion for cooking, opening original concept Daily Grinds late 2019. Only about 2 months of operating, Covid lockdown took place. "Truthfully, I did not think Daily Grinds would make it and somehow that felt so insignificant given all that was happening," Chef Tran expressed. In the face of uncertainty, Chef Tran kept grinding and reinventing what was a simple coffee shop to a cafe and bakery, making all breads and pastries in-house, including the signature croissant. At Daily Grinds, the mission is to be the standard for great food and drinks. "We will continue to make everything from scratch to maintain quality," Chef Tran promises. Chef Tran is currently developing the brunch menu with his team and looks to offer it in Fall 2025.
